When shopping with a child always make sure you have your list and any coupons you need handy so you can make it as easy and stress free as possible. I try to make sure my list is in order of where things are in the store so I don't have to keep stopping to search my list.

Happy Monday! These are such a wonderful concept. I wish I would have thought of it. For my two sons, I have always taken a small toy, juice and a snack! This tray could hold snacks, small toys and coupons! Please enter me in your drawing. Many thanks, Cindi

I am a fan of Target mostly because of their cheap popcorn and soda combo ($1.50) that keeps all 3 of my kiddos happy while I get some shopping done!!

My tip is to always have a little drawing pad and crayons in your purse or diaper bag. It always keeps my toddler occupied and out of my hair while shopping. I ask her draw me pictures of things she sees.

I know it's only one entry, but I signed up both of my kids (Parker & Graycen) for the birthday club! Thanks!
oh i've never seen these before! I've been walking around stores with a container in my hand giving him one at a time!!! I try and do as much stuff at target b/c we get a new "toy" from the front in the "dollar section" and he plays with it through the store. Other than that..i have to entertain with food and juice! In the grocery store i always get a cart that has the truck attached to it for him to ride in.
My only tip is to not waste time. It's good whether children are involved or not. Also, it's common in some grocery store bakeries to give free treats to kids (I remember that from my childhood, and I was excited to discover that some stores still do that...just ask around). It makes going to the store fun for your child and easier for you.

I let my toddler take her own "list" and she enjoys crossing things off as we put them in the cart. Have a great week!
To make shopping easier, I have my kids help me get the items we need. It teaches them what we use in our house, and where to find things in a grocery store. We also count items as we pick them up, using our math skills! Thanks for such a great giveaway!
When my son was little I always carried in a ziploc bag little snacks...Raisins, goldfish, cherrios...anything small. Told him only one at a time. This was because it kept him busy longer. He still asked for stuff in the store but not as bad as when I forgot to take something.
For babies - plan ahead, rush through store, cross fingers and hope they sleep. For toddlers - snacks, having them "help" by holding the shopping list, pick out produce (mine does this even from the seat of the cart), and so on.

I have the greatest tip ever...
ready?
Leave them at home!
Kidding! My tip is to organize your shopping list to fit the layout of the store. Since I've been doing this, I never have to go back down an aisle I've already been down. It saves me LOTS of time.
Also, I've been telling my girl that if she's good, and doesn't ask for anything, I'll buy her a treat in the checkout line.
Don't take them shopping when they are tired or hungry (or YOU are) remember what is important - shopping or your child. Leave you cart and go home when you need to - and don't feel bad about it!

My tip is to keep them occupied. WHen my daughter was a baby I would constantly talk to her, recite rhymes etc.
When she got a little older, I would ask her to spot things on aisles, repeat colors etc.
When she got even older I would ask her to help me with making the list and we would do the actual shopping together.
Maybe just maybe I will be able to use both hands to push the buggie! Instead of one hand pushing and other hand holding treats to occupy my son.

One thing that makes it easier is to feed them right before that way they're not hungry and begging for snacks while you're there. Thanks!

I bring little snack containers full of cheerios and raisins...it keeps their hands and mouths busy!
We always have a game plan before going to the store. This way we get in, get the stuff and get out. Teamwork is everything...and snacks help!
My child helps me look for her favourite food items during our grocery shopping trips.

My husband has this down with our young grandsons. One of them was happy as long as he could hold something that was going to be bought! One of our grocery stores offers a free cookie so he steers there first and they also have "cute" kid carts that our grandson likes to ride in. One thing is important though....the trip can't be too long...he is still a little guy and we want him to like to go with grandpa.
I like to go shopping on the weekends when they have all the samples out for tasting. The kids love to get a little sample of different foods.

When I shop, I buy french bread, give him a piece and he eats and eats (he loves french bread) while he is in the shopping cart.
What a convenient idea!
My advice is to include your child in the shopping. Let them choose flavors etc... They especially like to choose their own snacks. ;)
Give them something to do & keep them involved!!!! I put my little one in charge of a couple of items...he has to remind me to pick them up, etc. If possible I like to have a little treat stashed for the end a successful shopping trip.

The only way I can get through shopping with my toddler son is to keep him constantly fed. I also point out all the other babies in the store because he likes to flirt.
When they're over 3, you have to give them jobs and turn it into a game. "Can you pick me out the reddest apple you can find?"
I feed them before I take them to the store. I then give them jobs to do such as help pick out produce or just hold the produce bag open for me or read the shopping list. I have them read the prices of items and I give them incentives for trying a store brand rather than a name brand. My son gets the coin change and we all guess the total for groceries. We also try a new food item from the bulk section.
